WaterWorks™ Sulfate Eco Packs
This simple colour test strip, from our WaterWorks™ brand, allows for quick and accurate testing of Sulfate in water.
It is a simple dip and read test strip with a precise colour chart on the back of the packaging and the results are shown within 20 seconds. This patented, high range test strip can be used to test water across industries from drinking water, industrial waste (from galvanising and leather industries) to wastewater.. No other reagents or accessories are needed for this test.
We use trace amounts of chemicals on our strips which makes them extremely safe and non-hazardous. They are considered as Articles under OSHA and do not require SDS sheets. This is our new recyclable packaging. Notes: Sulfate is a substance that occurs naturally in drinking water. Ingestion of high levels of sulfate in water can have a laxative effect; this is a health concern because serious cases can lead to dehydration.
Because of aesthetic effects (i.e. taste and odour) sulfate is classified as an EPA secondary contaminant. The Secondary Maximum Contaminant Level (SMCL) for Sulfate is 250 mg/L (ppm). Sulfate minerals, such as Calcium Sulfate, produce scale build-up in water pipes. Water that contains high sulfate levels will taste bitter and may be corrosive to plumbing, particularly copper piping.
Detects: 0, 250, >500 ppm (mg/L)
