Continue adding tablets one at a time until the sample changes color from pink to violet. The number of tablets used corresponds to the calcium hardness level, calculated as follows:
- For a 50ml sample: multiply the number of tablets by 40 and then subtract 20.
- For a 100ml sample: multiply the number of tablets by 20 and then subtract 10.
For example, if you use 6 tablets in a 50ml sample, the calcium hardness would be (6 x 40) - 20 = 220 mg/l
