HI-1285-61 pH EC TDS & Temperature Electrode
A pre-amplified pH, EC, TDS and Temperature probe with a single reference and cloth junction suitable for use in agriculture. It has a maintenance free gel electrolyte, plus a DIN connector. Durable body material – polypropylene.
The electrode can measure: 0 to 12 pH; 0 to 50˚C – low temperature glass type. The pH electrode circuit has a built-in amplifier that will reduce the effects of electrical noise from motors, ballasts and pumps on the high impedance pH measurement.
The EC/TDS readings are performed by an amperometric sensor. An alternating voltage is applied to the sensor and the amount of current that passes between the two stainless steel pins is dependent upon the amount of salts (fertiliser) present. A greater amount of salt present results in an increase in conductance.
