What we can test for;

  • Legionella

Our sampling service involves us providing you with a comprehensive kit that includes specially sterilised sample bottles, labels, and full instructions together with a contact number to arrange your return collection with UPS couriers.

This sampling kit will allow you to collect the samples, record details of each sample point correctly and then courier them to us for evaluation.

We offer one off tests, monthly or quarterly testing.

If you have more than one spa or hot tub that requires testing please let us know and we can provide a specific quotation.

Legionella testing will use a standard culture method which usually takes between 10 and 12 days to complete and return a result. However, sometimes our tests can indicate a potential legionella positive result earlier than the normal 10 to 12 days. If this happens then customers would be notified immediately and the results and their implications explained in detail.

Note:

Our standard service does not offer refrigerated transport.  Therefore, the integrity of the samples may be compromised prior to being received by the laboratory.

Any samples received in this manner will still be processed using our UKAS accredited test methods; however, they will be deemed a deviating sample and the test report will include the following disclaimer:

Note: the validity of all the results on this report will be compromised - see disclaimer below;

This report will not be reproduced without the approval of Pathology Management Services

Note: Sampled: **/**/**/ & Time taken: **:** - The validity of the report may be compromised if there is a delay in excess of 24hours between sampling & testing. Results for samples submitted exceeding this timeframe and those which carry no sample date and/or time will be deemed Invalid. Samples are considered grossly deviating if 48hours or more has elapsed between sampling & testing and resampling is strongly recommended.

 Storage requirements of 2-8° were not met during transit; therefore, the validity of the test material may be compromised.
