The method is an adaptation of EPA method 340.1 and the SPADNS method. The reaction between fluoride and the reagent causes a colour change in the sample. By simply adding the reagents to the sample in the correct order, the reaction will take place and Hanna’s compatible HI-96739 \u0026amp; HI-97739 portable photometers will determine the concentration from the colour that is produced. The results will be displayed in mg\/L (ppm) of fluoride. These reagents are designed to be used with samples that have an expected range of 0.0 to 20.00 mg\/L fluoride.\u003c\/p\u003e \u003ch3\u003eTip for an accurate measurement\u003c\/h3\u003e \u003cp\u003eIt is important that the sample does not contain any debris.\u003c\/p\u003e \u003cp\u003eWhen the cuvette is placed into the measurement cell, it must be dry outside and completely free of fingerprints, oil or dirt. Wipe it thoroughly with HI-731318 or a lint-free cloth prior to insertion.\u003c\/p\u003e \u003cp\u003eShaking the cuvette can generate bubbles, causing higher readings.
